Taxation
Providing insight into the tax system and the redistributive effects of government policies is an important part of CPB's work. In the coming years, we will be expanding the research on the impact of climate policy on the distribution of the financial burden amongst households. In addition, a broader economic perspective on the tax system will receive greater emphasis, as we will be looking at the system as a whole and at issues of complexity.

Growth picks up, public debt increases
The economy is on the rise again, with projected growth of 0.6% in 2024 and 1.6% in 2025. An increase in median purchasing power means that the loss of purchasing power inflicted by the inflation shock has been reversed. The budget deficit in the coming years will be significantly higher than last year. →
