World trade monitor: April 2011

World trade volume fell by 2.5% in April 2011, following a revised 1.1% rise in March. This is shown by the CPB world trade monitor. A Background document is attached.

April 2011: World trade down by 2.5% month on month, following a revised 1.1% increase in March.
April 2011: World industrial production down by 0.3 % month on month.
