Fiscal Decentralization, Workshop organized by the CPB Netherlands Bureau for Economic Policy Analysis
CPB Netherlands Bureau for Economic Policy Analysis invites you to attend the workshop “Fiscal Decentralization”.
The workshop will take place on Thursday, April 9 from 13:00 till 17:30 in the main building of the Ministry of Economic Affairs: Bezuidenhoutseweg 73, 2594 AC Den Haag. The workshop marks the publication of a CPB Policy Brief on the very same theme. The aim of both the workshop and the Policy Brief is to inform policy makers on the pros and cons of fiscal decentralization and how the likely effects of such a tax reform depend on its design.
To this end, we have invited a diverse mix of speakers from both academia and the world of policy making. These speakers are: Eckhard Janeba (University of Mannheim), Hansjörg Blöchliger (OECD) and Jørgen Lotz (IMF, OECD and several Danish ministries). A presentation on the CPB Policy Brief is also included in the program. We will end the workshop with a panel discussion chaired by Paul van Kalmthout (Province of Gelderland). Participants to this panel discussion will be Arno Visser (member of the Board of the Netherlands Court of Audit) and aforementioned speakers.
Please find attached the program of the workshop.
You are invited to register until March 31 by sending an email to Jeannette Verbruggen, email: J.L.Verbruggen@cpb.nl
