Abstract subject: Every year, the government spends much money on public services which benefit citizens directly (€71 mrd in 2007). This spending on public services can be attributed to users of cure, care, education, transport, performing arts, sport, et cetera. In this presentation we take notice of the calculation of the individual benefits, the problems which emerge, the assumptions we need, the outcomes which result and the meaning of the outcomes.
