Competition Workshop: 'Effective Cartel Deterrence'
On January 29th the Ministry of Economic Affairs, CPB Netherlands Bureau for Economic Policy Analysis and TILEC (Tilburg University) organise a Competition Workshop on “Effective Cartel Deterrence”.

Location: Ministry of Economic Affairs, Bezuidenhoutseweg 73, Vergaderzaal 42 “Zijlstrazaal”, The Hague
Besides fines imposed by competition authorities, cartels can also be punished by having to pay damages to the companies or consumers whose interests have been harmed by the cartel. Which strategy is more likely to be effective and should companies be liable or their management?
