World trade monitor: March 2011

World trade volume increased by 1.4% in March 2011, following a revised 0.4% rise in February. This is shown by the CPB world trade monitor. A Background document is attached.

March 2011: World trade up by 1.4% month on month, following a revised o.4% increase in February.
March 2011: World trade up by 3.6% in the first quarter, following a 2.1% rise in the fourth of 2010.
March 2011: World industrial production down by 0.8 % month on month.
